Janet Louise Dipaolo was born on Friday April 7, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pa to Frances Emma Pitts and Clifford Goldsboro. She was raised by her mother Frances Emma Pitts and her grandmother Emma Frances Greenhow.
She met and married her childhood sweetheart Samuel Singleton Sr. Who has preceded her in death and became Janet Louise Singleton. This marriage union lasted 18 years and produced 3 children, Cynthia Lynn Long ( lovingly referred to as Cyndi girl), Samantha Arlene Satchell ( lovingly referred to as Channie), and Samuel Singleton Jr. ( lovingly referred to as Baby boy). Although this marriage union lasted 18 years, their love and friendship lasted each of their lifetimes.
Janet completed her education in the Philadelphia public school system and later continued her education at Pierce Junior college.
Janet always had a go getter attitude whether she was writing the mayor and March of dimes for her daughter, when she later began working at McDonald's and later became supervisor or when she became educated in billing and worked as management in the health care system and taught billing at Pennco Tech. Continued growth was something that she enjoyed and she extended those opportunities to many others.
She was known for coaching people for job interviews and making certain that people had opportunity for gainful employment. Mommy loved to give and share whether it was food or her time, her door was always open. She loved tv, the zoo and the beach. Janet was a very loving, kind, peacemaking, forgiving person and went out of her way to listen and love. She guided gently and patiently.
She was preceded in death by her mother Frances Emma Pitts, her ex husband and best friend Samuel Arnold Singleton Sr.,both of her brothers David Nathaniel Pitts and Charles Black.
