Jesse Lamar Strickland

Jesse Lamar Strickland entered into rest on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at his home in Martinez, Ga at age 79. He was born in Blackshear, Ga on January 31, 1947 to his parents Jesse Loren Strickland and Nell Aspinwall Strickland.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Strickland; his sons, Brian (Davina) Strickland and Mark (Tabitha) Strickland; grandchildren Darrah Strickland, Abigail Strickland, and Kylee Strickland; and sister Bernice Howard. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Ridley Strickland.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2025 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel, in Martinez, Ga, Jason Stewart officiating. Viewing and visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM before the service. Interment to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Grovetown, Ga.
