A brother whom Christ called home on October 4, 2023; John Michael Bennett was born August 17, 1949, to parents, Major Arthur and Elena Bennett, both deceased. John graduated from Butler High School in 1967. He studied at both Augusta College and Middle Georgia College. Quick-witted, John loved to make people laugh, spreading joy among family and friends. He loved sports, especially baseball, golf, and college football (UGA). John retired from Augusta-Richmond County.
Survivors include twin sister, Joan B. White (Athens, GA), sister, Jaye Bennett (Washington County, GA), niece, Ashlyn Bennett (Atlanta), wife Patricia Bennett and sons Justin and Brian Bennett, sister, Joyce Bennett (Florida), niece and nephew, Jenna White Fuselier and Jordan White.
Funeral service Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2pm-4pm at Elliots Funeral Home on Columbia Rd. Celebration of Life, refreshments, and fellowship to follow service. We love you, John, rest in peace and love. Until we meet again!
