Mr. Zamecnik was born on September 27, 1921, in Algonquin, Illinois, to John and Antonie Pesata Zamecnik. He was a CPA and lived most of his life in the Greater Chicago area and Toledo, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Anita Roby Zamecnik; his second wife, Ann Kirkpatrick; and his brothers, Edward Zamecnik, Fred Zamecnik, and Milton Locke.
Survivors include his son, Jack Zamecnik and wife Ingrid Zamecnik; his granddaughter, Lillian Essaf (Robby); and his grandson, Aaron Zamecnik.
