Joseph Thomas Guidage
June 4, 1942 – January 6, 2020
Joseph Thomas Guidage, age 77, of Grovetown, Georgia passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at University Hospital from heart failure.
Mr. Guidage was born June 4, 1942 in Franklin, New Jersey. His parents were Joseph and Mary A. Guidage and he had no siblings. He graduated from Our Lady of the Lake Regional High School, Sparta, New Jersey in 1960 and King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1964 with a degree in mathematics.
Married twice, first to Barbara Rensa of Wilkes-Barre, PA in Augusta 1964 and second to Janice Jones of Huntsville, Alabama in July 1973.
Mr. Guidage was a senior software engineer who spent most of his career writing computer software for the aerospace industry. His career took him from Pleasantville, New York to Kennedy Space Center, Florida to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands to Honolulu, Hawaii to Huntsville, Alabama and to Patrick AFB, Florida, where he retired.
Golf and fishing were his two favorite sports. Two large mouth bass hang on his office wall and he fished often until recently. His two sporting disappointments were never getting a hole-in-one, nor catching a blue marlin.
His spouse Janice, children Mary Lynn and Cathrine, grandchildren Malia, Dustin, Alexandra, and Brooke, survive Mr. Guidage.
Mr. Guidage requested that there be no services and interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston Township, New Jersey.
