Julie was the caboose of 4 children, and a treasured birthday present of second son Randy, born to Bernard Spivey and Pearl Mims Spivey Johnson on June 18, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia. She took it upon herself to become unsolicited shenanigan reporter and relentless tag-along to her older sister Cindy. Julie learned the inescapable leg-lock wrestling move from her dangerous oldest brother Vince, which she later used on her husband, to render submission in critical marital matters. Beautiful Julie practiced cheerleading and graduated from Evans High School in 1982 and attended the University of Georgia. She met her husband, William Hoover Hill II at Plant Vogel in Waynesboro GA in 1985. "Bill" swept her off her feet and they moved to Sylvania, Ohio. They married in 1987 in Kuai, Hawaii; and went on to have three children, William Hoover Hill III, Lindsey Anne Hill, and Chandler Bernard Hill. They moved to Fort Worth, Texas and soon after, built a house and raised their children in Cleburne, Texas. After emptying the nest, Bill and Julie moved to Clinton, Mississippi. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Julie loved studying God’s word and was an active member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church. Julie loved spending time at the family lake house on Clarks Hill where she attended New Works Baptist Church in Lincolnton GA. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Julie is survived by her husband Bill, of Clinton, Mississippi, 3 children: Will, of Fort Worth, Texas, Lindsey, of Oakland California, and grandson Indigo, and youngest son Chandler of San Diego, California. She is also survived by her brother, Randy Spivey of Martinez, Ga and sister, Cindy Learn and her husband Ricky, of Charleston, South Carolina, stepfather Edward Johnson, Aunt Wanda and many cousins.
Julie cherished lifelong friendships with Beverly Greve, Jennifer Ollerich and most especially, Anne O’Connell who she loved dearly Anne never failed to make her laugh and keep her spirits lifted even as they shared each other’s tears.
