A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1pm at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Interment will take place at 5pm at Rosehill Cemetery, Macon GA.
Born in Macon, GA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josie Vullo. She lived in Macon and Savannah before moving to Augusta. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Macon and St. Mary on the Hill in Augusta.
Mrs. Walker was a volunteer at Catholic Social Services and served for 30 years at Doctors Hospital. She was a proud member of the Italian-American Club. During her lifetime she competed in many golf tournaments, extensively traveled and loved to cook. A devoted wife, mother and Braves fan, Katie especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert H. Walker and her sister, Lena Kitchens.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Tina (Tony) Walker May, Macon, GA; son, R. Keith (Ina) Walker, Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Robert (Beth Ann) Keith Walker, Dr. Katherine Elizabeth (Thomas) Davis, Margaret Walker (Brian) Mears, great grandchildren, Lola Walker, Ellis Walker and Walker Mears; niece, Marie Stinger and nephews, Michael Kitchens and Hugh Holson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 5pm until 7pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez. A Rosary Service will be held during the visitation.
