Mrs. Fillop was born to the late Young and Ui Won Yu in Inchon, South Korea. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Augusta, GA. She was actively involved with serving at the church and also volunteering to help the elderly and needy. Mrs. Fillop stayed busy and was a very social person. She enjoyed gardening and going to the beach and the mountains. Mrs. Fillop also was an amazing cook.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fillop is preceded in death by her brother, Jung Seob Yu. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, John Fillop; children, Sheila Moore (Kevin Barker), Carolyn Moore and Audrey Fillop (Bennie Slappy); siblings, Kyong Cha Yu, Nam Seob Yu, Chang Seob Yu and Moon Seob Yu; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Gillian and Kaylie.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Kim officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Road.
