GROVETOWN, Ga.- SFC Retired LeRoy Bixby Colgrove 78, entered into rest on Thursday April 12, 2012 at University Hospital. Graveside Military honors will be held 2:00 PM Saturday April 14, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Veterans Section. Military honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detachment of Fort Gordon. Mr. Colgrove served his country proudly in the U.S. Army with 23 years of service. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Lee (Patricia) Colgrove, Summerville, GA, Susan Hill, Waynesboro, GA , Russell(Debra) Colgrove , Augusta, GA , Warren ( Blanche) Colgrove, Grovetown, GA, Cheryl (Robert) Smith , Augusta, GA and Diana Colgrove , Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Albert (Delores) Colgrove, Lemmon, SD, Clarence (Eileen) Colgrove, Stirum, ND, Alberta (Vernon) Hemminger, Clearwater, MN, Kenneth (Kathy) Colgrove, Alexandria, MN , Vernon (Susan) Colgrove , St. Paul, MN, Janice (Rodney) Peterson, Lemmon, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Irma Colgrove; and a brother Arthur Colgrove.
