

Lino Sincioco Ramos, M.D., 88, of Aiken SC, formerly of Inverness, FL, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in his home, with his wife of 62 years by his side. He was born September 22, 1933 in Marunko, Angat, Bulacan, Philippines. He shared fun stories of growing up on a rice farm, of learning to swim in the river by hanging on to the water buffalo, of catching frogs and spiders. He was a graduate of University of Santa Tomas Medical School in Manila. He did residencies in general surgery in Albany, NY and Peoria, IL, and in general medicine in Euclid, OH. He had a private practice in Cleveland before becoming the company physician for U.S. Steel in Cleveland. He spent his last few working years practicing occupational medicine for a clinic in Toledo OH. He retired to FL, where he achieved his golfing goal of shooting his age. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, watching golf, basketball, boxing, James Bond movies and old westerns.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dorotea (Sincioco) and Andres Ramos, and by his 10 older siblings. He is survived by his wife, Flordeliza (Pascual), his daughter Alma (Mark) Kranjc, sons Lino Jr. (Sheba Chambers) and Andy, grandchildren: Chad & Imani Ramos, Kathryn (Matt) Kuhn, Rachel (Kevin) Knapp, and Angela Kranjc, and great-grandchildren: Daniel, Sophia, and Joy.
Visitation will beheld on Monday, March 28, 2022 in Smith Hall, next to old St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 125 Park Ave., SE, Aiken, from 1:30pm until 2:30pm A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30pm in the church.
