Marian Teasley Burgess

Mrs. Marian Teasley Burgess, 90, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015. She was an avid reader, seamstress and gardener. Mrs. Burgess worked in Sears Catalog Sales for many years. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and the Augusta Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her parents, George and Katie Psalmond; beloved husband of 35 years, Charles Lamar Teasley and loving husband of 12 years, Bill Burgess; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Teasley Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Terri Teasley; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, October 12, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Elder Dwayne Hooven officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, Inc., 3614 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Building C, Augusta, GA 30909 or a charity of your choice.
