Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the Metropolitan Community Church of Our Redeemer with the Rev. Rick Sosbe officiating. Burial will take place in the Umatilla City Cemetery, Umatilla Fl., at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
Marilyn was a native of Jacksonville Fl. She was a psychiatric Social worker having worked at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, the V.A. in Augusta, and the V.A. in Chapel Hill NC. And was on the Faculty of Duke University. She was a member of the Metropolitan Community Church of Our Redeemer.
Survivors include her spouse, Kathleen Walsh, Evans; her brother, Donald Reedy, Coca Fl.; her nephews, Dayton Reedy, Coca Fl.; and Mark Reedy, Atlanta.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Metropolitan Community Church of Our Redeemer, or to a charity of one’s choice.
