

Mr. Crook is the former owner and operator of Crook Paint and Body in Augusta, GA. Mr. Crook was an avid University of Georgia Fan and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and going to the beach with his daughter. He also enjoyed grilling, and his family would say that he grilled the best steak in town. Mr. Crook was a 1973 graduate of Butler High School and an Alumni Of Georgia College and State University.
Mr. Crook is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Gene Ellis Crook and Constance “Connie” Amelia Crook; brother-in-law, George “Sonny” Thurmond. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Lisa Lucero Crook; daughter, Natalie Gene Crook; sister, Angela Harriett Crook Cartledge (Otis George Cartledge III); niece, Whitney Leigh Cook Stallings (Samuel Keelan Stallings); great-niece, Madison Leigh Stallings. Michael was very close and loved by his extended family, Rick and Judy Lucero, Mollie Lucero, Cecilia Thurmond, Judy Marie Lucero (Sarah), Richard Lucero Jr. (Marshelly “Shelly”), Robert Lucero I (April); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
