Dr. Nancy B. Young

Dr. Young was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Jerlene Elliott.

Dr. Young is survived by her husband, David D. Young; her children, Jefferson Whitfield Morgan (Kimberly Webb Morgan) and Tara Morgan Smith (Casey Daniel Smith); her grandchildren, Rhett Daniel Smith and Stetson Lane Smith; and her brother, Jeffery Elliott (Debbie).

Dr. Young recently retired from a 14-year career with the dental college of Georgia, the last 4 of which she served as the Dean. She enjoyed many things in her spare time from being a member of the Augusta Rowing Club, where she was also a U.S. Rowing Referee, quilting, and traveling. She was an active member of her church and could be found participating in community service throughout Augusta. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and other members of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5 pm until 7 pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 4255 Columbia Road Martinez, GA. A funeral service will be held the following day at Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection at 825 Greene Street Augusta, GA at 2 pm.

Dr. Young will be laid to rest at Westover Memorial Park following the service.
