Nellie O. Cook Allen

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia Rd. with the Rev. Rick Cook & Rev. Phil Wisnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nellie was a retired housekeeping supervisor at University Hospital. She was a member of Martinez Baptist Church.

Mrs. Nellie was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Jessie Lee Cook, and Mr. Willie Allen. She was also preceded by a daughter, Cleo McLemore, and a sister, Christine Horn.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Blackwell, her son, Rev. Rick (Debbie) Cook, her sister, Louise Armstrong, 8-grandchildren, 19-great-grandchildren, and 2- great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Jay Cook, Bert Blackwell, Jason Blackwell, Danny Brown, Andy Freeman, and Michael Tyree.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martinez Baptist Church Missions Fund.
