Noah Samuel Williams

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Noah Samuel Williams, who passed away at the age of 17. Though his time with us was far too short, Noah lived a life that was immeasurably full—one defined not by the complexity of his medical needs, but by the joy he created, the barriers he broke, and the countless lives he inspired.

From the very beginning, Noah taught those around him to see possibilities instead of limitations. His smile brightened every room, his laughter was contagious, his presence spoke volumes, and his Houdiniesque maneuvers were baffling (per his art teacher, Noah could escape from a backwards art smock with the top buttoned in 20 seconds flat). He possessed an adventurous spirit, an unwavering determination, and a remarkable ability to bring people together. All who encountered Noah discovered that a meaningful life is measured by living your best life now.

Noah was excited to attend school to see his favorite person of all time, Mrs. Bowlby. So much of what Noah achieved over the years wouldn’t have been possible without the help of his devoted caregivers, TeTe Candace, Nyla, Marissa, Dawn, and Chase.

Adventure was woven into Noah's story. As a proud National Park Service Junior Ranger, he and his family explored more than 65 national parks, monuments, historic sites, and battlefields across the United States. He eagerly earned Junior Ranger badges while inspiring others to embrace the outdoors and demonstrated that nature is for everyone. Every journey reflected his mom's belief that life should be lived fully and that extraordinary memories are made by saying "yes" to adventure. Hence, the 158-mile, self-supported bike ride with Helen through the West Elk Loop of Colorado.

Noah was also an endurance athlete whose accomplishments challenged perceptions of what was possible. Together with his mom and an incredible community of supporters – especially The Kyle Pease Foundation, he completed numerous 5K and 10K races, half marathons, and triathlons. Among his most cherished achievements were completing nine Marine Corps Marathons (seven with Kevin Leung). At every starting line and every finish line, Noah reminded thousands that inclusion, perseverance, and determination are among life's greatest victories.

As a proud athlete with the Augusta Stars Special Olympics of Georgia team, Noah competed in bowling and swimming, earning several first-place medals while forming lasting friendships and celebrating the joy of sport. Whether sitting in front of the podium or cheering for teammates, he embodied the true spirit of sportsmanship, courage, and community.

Creativity flowed naturally through Noah. An abstract artist with a unique perspective, his colorful artwork became a greeting card and journal collection that brought joy to others. His talent and activities reached even further as the inspiration for and principal character in the Adventures in Noahland children's book series, where his adventures continue to encourage children to dream boldly, embrace differences, and discover the extraordinary in everyday life. Fittingly, Noah even had his own action figure—a playful reminder that heroes come in many forms.

Noah's greatest legacy is the way he changed hearts. He taught people to celebrate small victories - inchstones - and he inspired communities to become more inclusive. He challenged assumptions about disability and proved that every person has immeasurable worth. Through his life, he transformed fear into hope, curiosity into conversations, strangers into friends, and ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.

Noah leaves behind a family who loved him beyond measure and who considered it one of life's greatest privileges to cheer him on in every adventure. His mom will forever cherish the miles traveled together, sunrises watched from starting lines, artistic masterpieces created, stories shared, and countless moments of laughter that filled their home. His legacy also lives on in the educators who welcomed him, the healthcare professionals who cared for him, teammates who competed with him, fellow athletes, volunteers, advocates, and the countless people whose lives were forever changed simply by knowing him.

His was a life beautifully lived.

His was a race well run.

His was an adventure that changed the world.

In honor of Noah's life, may we all be a little more adventurous, a little more curious, a lot more compassionate, and a little more willing to believe that the most extraordinary lives are often those that teach us how to live without limits.
