Ola Van Dusen

She was born in Campbellton, Florida on April 23,1928.

She married the love of her life, Delmer Van Dusen on August 22, 1948 after only a 6 week courtship. This began their Army travels with multiple assignments in California, Alaska, Germany and Georgia. Their final destination and retirement was in Augusta, Georgia. They enjoyed many activities together which included their church, ceramics, cooking and family.

She was loved and cherished beyond words by family and friends. Her faith in the Lord was expressed daily by her sweet loving ways. She was proudest of her family which includes four daughters- Janice Casaday (Tom), Joan Boudewyns (Pat), Beth Howell (Rick) and Cathy Austin (Mark); seven grandchildren- Jason Rooks, Marsha Flauss, Josh Way, Jake Way, Sage Farmer, Connor Christman and Troy Majors; and 13 great grandchildren. Her twin sister's loving children- Gena, Eileen, Vicki, Joe, Alan,Ray.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Delmer Van Dusen, her parents Huey and Viola Ming, her twin sister Lola Eyles and brother-in- law Don Eyles, her brother, Ray Ming and sister-in-law Peggy Ming, brother-in-law Glenn Van Dusen and sister-in-law Mary Van Dusen.

The celebration of life will be January 15, 2024 at Elliott Sons on Columbia Road, Martinez. Visitation will be at 10am with services at 11 am in the chapel and a reception following in the gathering room.

A private interment will be later that day for the family. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Sodalis Martinez Assisted Living employees especially the Memory Care staff; her most recent home. St. John Towers for years of caring and Enhabit Hospice for her recent needs.
