Shaun “Grace” Mikael Dial, 44, of Evans, GA, passed away on April 18, 2026. Born September 30, 1981, in Charleston, South Carolina, Grace was the daughter of the late Marion Pinckney Davis Sr. and Shawn Elizabeth Forbes.
Grace graduated from James Island High School and went on to devote 22 years to caring for others as a dermatology nurse, serving patients in Charleston, South Carolina, and Augusta, Georgia. In a profession that called for steadiness and skill, she was known for her compassionate presence, thoughtful attention, and the quiet wisdom that brought comfort to countless lives. Her brave spirit and inspirational way of showing up for others—day after day—left an enduring mark on all who had the privilege to know her.
On March 1, 2026, Grace married Nathaniel Royce Dial. She was a beloved wife, mother, and family member whose guidance and care shaped the lives around her with grace and purpose.
In addition to her dedicated work and devotion to family, Grace embraced life with conviction and heart. She was involved with the Carolina Lady Anglers and with roller derby through the Lowcountry High Rollers in Charleston, South Carolina. In her early life, she also enjoyed equestrian riding in Charleston—pursuits that reflected both courage and discipline, and a steady willingness to meet life with resolve.
Grace is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Royce Dial; her children, Gabe Walker, Madison Coshow, Mason Miles, and Wesley Grammer; her mother, Shawn Davis; her brother, Marion Davis Jr.; her sister, Allison Davis; brother, Thadeus Wilson; and stepchildren, Tanner Dial, Logan Dial, and Cailyn Dial. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Pinckney Davis Sr.
A Celebration Of Life for Grace will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 11AM until 3 PM at Melton Peter Demetre Park, 640 Wampler Drive, Charleston, SC 29412.
