Steven Kent Belcher

Mr. Belcher was born in Augusta, GA to Kenneth and Barbara Belcher. He made Augusta his home and was a 1972 graduate of Butler High School where he played baseball for three years. After high school, he attended Augusta College for 3 years, majoring in Psychology. Steve was retired from Quebecor-World Color with 35 years service and volunteered for 25 years at the Augusta National on the grounds crew. Mr. Belcher was currently working at Tax Slayer for the last 8 years. He will be remembered for being a devoted son, brother and uncle to his family. He took pride in his nieces and nephews and attended their sporting events showing them support. Mr. Belcher is also know for his work ethic and his sense of humor.

Mr. Belcher is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Belcher; and brother, Kevin James Belcher. Survivors include his father, Kenneth M. Belcher; brothers, Brian Keith Belcher (Janis Prestwood) and Rodney Kenn Belcher; nieces and nephews, Lindsay Purdy (Justin), Jordan Belcher, Nolan Belcher (Rachel), Kody Belcher, Morgann Bradshaw (Stephen), Jamie Belcher and Jodi Belcher; and great-nieces and nephews, Carolina Purdy, Jersey Purdy, Stephen “Finn” Bradshaw Jr., Amelia Bradshaw, Davis Bradshaw, Baylor Bradshaw, Brooks Belcher and Anna Belcher.

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm on Saturday May 17, 2025, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
