Susan Steinberg

She was born on December 24, 1950 in Lancaster Ohio, the daughter of the late Noah and Shirley Orling Molar.

Susan is survived by her brothers, Ronald Molar of Augusta, GA and Barry Molar and his wife, Juliet Mellow of Silver Spring, MD; nephews Sam Molar and Gabriel Molar.

Susan attended THE Ohio State University and Ohio University, and spent her career as a dedicated special education teacher and administrator. She was an active participant in Augusta Jewish life, serving as board member, Sisterhood President and education director of Adas Yeshurun Synagogue; President of the Southern Region Chapter of the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism; and Secretary of the Augusta Jewish Museum. She also served as Chair of Empty Bowl for many years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Magnolia Cemetery, 702 3rd Street, Augusta, conducted by Rabbi David Sirull. Friends invited.
