

Viro was born on September 24, 1933 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India to Mr. Ramnarayan and Mrs. Kalavati Sharma. He grew up in Bikaner, India and graduated from Pilani College with a degree in Electrical Engineering and later received an MBA from Georgia Southern.
Viro Sharma worked as an Engineer in India for Delhi Cloth Mills and in the United States for Kendall Hospital Supplies, Georgia Power Company, and West Valley Demonstration project for the Department of Energy. He was known for his task orientation, technical knowledge, organizational skills and great story telling about his adventures. He enjoyed time with his wife, children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, playing tennis, card games, and puzzles, and volunteering at the hospital. Above all, Virendra “Viro, Dadaji, PaPaPa” Prakash will be remembered for his unwavering love for family”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Raj Kumari (Seema) Sharma, son Dr. Rakesh Sharma and Daughter-in -Law, Eunice Sharma, Daughter Aparajita “Jita” Ellis and Son-in-Law, Jackson Ellis; seven grandchildren: Nitai Sharma, Nimai Sharma, Priya Sharma, Dr. Devi Walters and Grandson in Law Dr. Ryan Walters and Alexis Flowers and Grandson in Law Jack Flowers, Jacob Ellis and Sarah Ellis, five great grandchildren: Deacon Walters, Ramsey Walters, Parker Walters, Madison Flowers, and Mason Flowers. Also survived by an older brother, Dr. Vidyadhar Sharma and lots of loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Mrs. Shashi Bhargava and his parents.
A memorial service will be held on
May 24, 2026 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at
4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Ga.
