Col. Ret. Wallace "Wally" W. Luther

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11am at Kiokee Baptist Church, Appling, GA. Entombment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Pete Knox, Benny Dorn, Larry Simon, Robert “Bo” McNair, George Brown, and Richard Sanchez.

Born in Wyoming, WV, he was the son of the late Wade Luther and Marie Kapler Luther. He lived in various cities before retiring to Martinez in 1987. He retired after 23 years as a Colonel in the US Army as a dentist. He attended Kiokee Baptist Church where he was a member of the Tracey McDaniel’s Sunday School Class and a substitute Sunday school teacher. Wallace enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles, fishing, playing solitaire on the computer. Wallace loved serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Patsy Luther, daughters, Anna (Jeff) Moore, Springfield, VA, Regina (Greg) Lauer, Baltimore, MD, granddaughter, Marlana Lauer.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 10am until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kiokee Baptist Church, 2520 Ray Owens Road, Appling, GA, 30802.
