Wayne Kirkland Sr.

Born and raised in Grovetown, Mr. Kirkland was a son of the late Albert Kirkland and Dellie Kirkland. He was a hard worker and loved his family. Wayne loved to spend time fishing in the swamp and hunting and just being outside. He was loved by anyone who met him. He was the kind of person who would give a stranger the shirt off his back if he thought they needed it.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters, and his stepson, Billy Brunty and is survived by his wife, Carole Kirkland, son, Jesse Kirkland, daughter, Brandy Cole, stepdaughter, Rebecca Futch, four grandchildren, Nikki, Wayne, Shane, and Jagger, two brothers, Paul Kirkland and James Kirkland, five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Joe Kirkland and Shane Thompson.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez, Georgia 30907, followed by funeral service. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
