

William was born in Atlanta but moved to the area 48 years ago. He attended Southern Technical Institute, served in the Air Force and eventually retired from IBM as a System Engineer with over 30 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans and enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening and spending time with his family.
William is survived by his wife Kay of 31 years, daughter Karen (Brian) Hatch, son Butch (Lori) Fagan, stepsons Jade (Lori) Spell, Jamie (Haley) Spell, grandchildren Savannah and Austin Hatch, Wil and Blake Fagan, Bethany Spell, Harrison and Caroline Spell.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the ER and ICU departments of Doctor’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home - Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the time of the service.
