Allen “Lynn” Ahalt, aged 79, born 2/28/1947, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away Aug 14, 2026. Preceded in death by his father Allen and mother Marie. He loved his family and is survived by sister Ida and husband Wade, brother Arthur and wife Linda, and various beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins and their spouses.
He was a Navy veteran from 1965-69 and was a reservist 1970-71. Sailed on the USS Sellers and USS Sierra, part of the 6th Fleet which sailed the Med., the Caribbean, and the North Atlantic. He was known for his musical talent with guitar, keyboard, and singing (and even did puppet ventriloquism during his shows!). He was signed by an agent where he played music up and down the East Coast in places like New Orleans, Nantucket, FL, MD, WV, to name a few. He had a passion for music and fishing and began doing both as a child growing up on Spade Rd outside of Hagerstown. He spent time as a child swimming in the swimming hole in Rush Run on his parents’ rural property on Spade Rd. He enjoyed both freshwater and salt-water fishing. His career included working with computers and repairing runway lights at various airports. He lived in Connecticut for many years before returning to MD to be with his family. His love for family increased even more in his older years, and he always told us he loves us. So did his love and faith in Jesus. Some of his final words were “Jesus has me.” He was of the Christian faith.
Services will be announced at a later date.
