Barbara Jean Anderson

Barbara Jean Anderson, passed away on February 25,2025, at the age of 75 at her home in Hedgesville, West Virginia. Barbara was born on December 19,1949, in New London, Connecticut, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Barbara is survived by Mark A. Anderson, her beloved husband of 55 years; her son Chris Anderson; her grandchildren: Jasmine Aylor, Devin Anderson, and Andrew Anderson; 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers Douglas, Michael, and Timothy.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Jean Coombs; her father Edwin Wallace Coombs; her son Mark Andrew Anderson Jr.; and her daughter, Heather Jean Anderson-Richards.

Barabra was known for her generosity and outgoing personality. She had a passion for quilting and produced custom quilts for family, friends, fellow parishioners, dialysis patients, doctors, nurses, and support staff. She made a lasting impact on those she met in church and the community.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am on March 1, 2025, at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg, West Virginia, followed by a funeral service. Interment will be held immediately following at Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Kidney Fund, National Kidney Foundation, and Kidney Cancer Association in Barbara’s honor.
