Born on November 28, 1933 in Glenside, PA she was the daughter of the late Reginald C. and Thelma A. Edson.
Barbara was a Registered Nurse, completing her training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She was also a graduate of the Shepherd Regents Program.
She served as a nurse in many care areas including obstetrics at Kings Daughters and City Hospital, camp nurse at Camp Frame 4-H Camp, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, and teaching Red Cross swimming lessons at War Memorial Park Pool.
She was active in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and in the Al-Anon program.
Barbara is survived by her three daughters: Margaret (Peggy) Dell, Susan Weiberg, and Sandra League; five grandchildren and nine Great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years John A Dell.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
