Betty M. Byrd

Born May 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Winnie Mae Mikeal.

Betty was the eleventh of twelve children.

She was a member of Middleway Pentecostal Church.

Betty loved her family reunions at Topsail Beach and enjoyed taking walks. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.

She is survived by one sister, Pearl Salvador of California; one daughter, Sandra Byrd Crouse of Shepherdstown; one son, Mikeal Byrd of Florida; one step-son, Benny Byrd of Louisiana; on step-daughter, Vicki Byrd of Louisiana; two granddaughters: Sherree Crouse Kifer of Martinsburg and Tabatha Byrd of North Carolina; three grandsons: Jeremiah Byrd of Texas, Mikeal Byrd Jr. of Virginia, and Samuel Byrd of North Carolina; two great-granddaughters: Isabella Bayles of Martinsburg and Hanna Byrd of Texas; and two great-grandsons: Brantley Byrd of Michigan and Jacob Byrd of Texas.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
