She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Blanche Gates; her husband, Herbert Ward; two sons: Daniel and Michael Ward; an infant daughter; and her sister, Dorothy Gates.
She is survived by her two daughters: Debbie Stewart (Paul) and Linda Cummings (Rick); son-in-law, Dale Stewart; six grandchildren: Lisa Varela, Paul Stewart, Walter Stewart, Bette Ann Ward, Shelli Prigmore and Joseph Shipe; and several great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Betty will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg, West Virginia, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.
A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, Maryland.
