Born on October 29, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the son of Frances Louise Cope and the late Billy Joe Cope, Sr.
He worked for several years in the shipping department at Macy’s Distribution Center. In addition to bowling and fishing, Billy enjoyed refinishing antique furniture as well as painting beautiful portraits.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Cheyanne and A.J.; his loving fiancé, Melissa Bridge; his sister, Melody Defibaugh and husband Jerry; two nieces: Sarah Ramsey and Christina Ramsey; two grandchildren: Sky and James; a dog who is affectionately known as, “Dawg”; and many friends and extended family members.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and a recently passed dog who he called, “Dakota Nichole.”
