I last saw Aunt Cassie when my grandfather, Paul Murray, passed away in 2002. I've thought so much about her off and on over the years, but we lost touch and I didn't know how to find her. Tonight I decided to do a search and this time put her name in quotations and include Wilson, NC. I am just heartbroken to discover that she has passed. She was one special lady. I still have a necklace she gave me when I graduated cosmetology school back in 1986 and I'll never forget the special times spent with she and Richard during their too-brief time spent back in Wilson. I imagine her up in heaven with my grandpa (and grandma Dee) and the rest of her loved ones. Cassie was a beautiful spirit. May she rest in peace.

Oh my Cassie bear. You were one in a million. You were part of our family on 5th floor and will be sadly missed. I'll miss those 3am chats when you couldn't sleep. You made some killer cakes. They were the best. I'll bet it was one great reunion with Richard as I know you missed him so. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Rest in peace sweet Cassie.

Jan, Frankie, I don't even know what to say to the two of you, my heart aches for you; and for Mike as well, I know the two of them were very close. You both know that Ronnie and I loved Miss Cassie and thought the world of her. I am so grateful and glad that she was well and able to sing at our wedding, that is a memory that I will cherish forever. I love you Miss Cassie and I know that you are singing with the Angels. All our love, Ronnie and Sherri
