He was the son of the late Joseph W. and Mamie Renee Pence Deeds Sr.
Charlie is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 43 years Mary E. “Betty” Watson Deeds; children Charles Deeds Jr, Eileen Hammond, Karen Gilbreath and husband Benny, Linda Winegarden and husband Larry, Debby Magaha and husband Mike, Betty Jo Bailey and husband Sean; sisters: Fay J. Wright, Sharon Naf, Gail Boarman and Dorothy Shade; brothers: Robert and Hilary Deeds; grandchildren: Michelle Kerns and husband Fred, Nichol Broschart and husband C.J., Wayne Magaha and Billie Jo Day, Bobbi Jo and Tony Adams, Joseph Magaha and wife Kathy, Coty Magaha and Nicole Nobrega; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Charlie was preceded in death by his son, Bruce W. Deeds; sisters, Lucille Haun, Anna Bell Staubs, Elsie Deeds and brothers, Joseph W. Deeds Jr, Kenneth Deeds, Reed Deeds and Clay Deeds
Charlie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inwood. He also was a proud retiree of DuPont. Retiring on April 30, 1985, after 29 years of service.
Charlie will be forever known for his expertise and gift of craftsmanship and woodworking. Much of his talents and work remain in the homes, businesses and Churches throughout the community.
Charlie and his family will be forever grateful to his loyal and faithful friend Frank Russell, and would also like to extend a special thanks to Hospice for such wonderful care.
Memorial services for Charlie will be held on March 30, 2019 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Inwood.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville West Virginia 25430.
