He was born on December 20, 1923 in Kearnesyville and was the son of the late John and Alice Ferguson.
Charles loved the Army his whole life and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Eastern Stars, Zenith Club, Mason, Life Member of VFW 2532 in Charles Town, and a life member of the NAACP.
He is survived by his nieces Evelyn Stephenson and Barbara Mcgruder and many other nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Ferguson; brothers: Jessie Ferguson, Tracey Ferguson, John Ferguson Jr. and Ed Ferguson; sisters: Alice Ferguson and Nannie Ferguson Carey, and nephews Jessie Carey and Kenneth Carey.
A visitation will be held on September 4, 2021 at Rosedale Funeral Home from 12-1 pm with Funeral Services starting at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
