Born on October 10, 1947 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Mary Anna Triggs. He grew up in the Swan Pond area.
Charles served in the United States Army. He worked for Fairchild, South Eastern Container, and Emery Trucking Inc. before he and his wife started their own company, L and S Logistics Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Smith-Triggs; three grandsons: Bradley Myers, Casey Myers, and Justin Smith; two brother-in-laws: Larry and Wayne Emery; four sisters: Bobby Rice, Peggy Walker, Frances Smith, and Phyllis Stanley; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard David Triggs; his step-son, Freddie Emery Smith; and dear friend, Fred Tabler.
There will be no services.
