
Charlotte Catherine Marlow, 96, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the home where she had resided for sixty-four years, with her daughter Sue by her side. Born September 24, 1916 at Ridge in Morgan County, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Clifton and Lena Ellen Hovermale McIntire. Mrs. Marlow was a 1934 graduate of Bath District High School in Berkeley Springs. Following graduation, she attended Shenandoah College in Dayton, VA. She moved to Martinsburg and was employed at Interwoven Mills where she met her husband Clarence Lee Marlow. She later was employed at Perfection Garment Company, Jefferson Manufacturing, and Corning Glass Works from which she retired in 1978.
Mrs. Marlow was a faithful member of Trinity UMC although she had been unable to attend since fracturing her hip in 2008. She loved the Lord and served Him through her financial support of His work and through her devotion to friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clarence, who departed this life in June 1988. She is survived by a brother, Paul V. McIntire, and his wife Anna, of Winchester, her daughters, Sue Ellen Marlow with whom she resided, Linda Grubb, and Peggy Brenner, all of Martinsburg, three grandchildren, Joshua and Faith Grubb of Martinsburg, and Craig Brenner of Swoope, VA, a nephew, Steve McIntire of Winchester, and a number of cousins. Family will receive friends 9-11 AM Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in Rosedale Cemetery with Rev. William Crowe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martinsburg Rescue Mission, 602 W. King St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.
