Clifton Lee Green

Born in Summit Point, WV on October 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles E. Green, Sr. and Beulah Jackson Green.

He attended Sumner Ramer School in Martinsburg. He was a veteral of the US Navy and was employed by Blairton Limestones, Veteran Administration of Martinsburg for 24 years and WV State Road.

He was a bowler for Veterans Administration for at least eight years and then Pikeside Bowling team for many years.

He is survived by one sister, Dorothy L. Walker, one brother, Rudolph W. Green; his daughters, Shirley Bell of Philadelphia, PA, Alisha Johnson of Martinsburg, WV, Barbara Green of Philadelphia, PA, Vickie Ford of Shepherdstown, WV, Karen Green of Martinsburg, WV; his sons, Ronald Green of Hagerstown, MD, Donald Green of Martinsburg, WV, Shawn Jackson of Ohio, Clifton Green, II and wife Kyla of Charles Town; one foster son, Keith Curry of Martinsburg,WV; twenty three grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two special people he loved as son-in-laws, Michael Busey of Shepherdstown, WV and William Jefferson of Philadelphia, PA; and special friends Renah Milton and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Sandy) L. Green, and his brothers Charles and James Green, his sister Edith Schley and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Rosedale Funeral Home with the Pastor John Green officiating.

Military services will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.
