David (Dave) Anthony Camacho died at home at a tender age of 63 in his home in Martinsburg, WV on Sunday December 18, 2021. David was born near St. Michaels Barbados and traveled with the Barbados Navy before relocating to the United States. He became a U.S. citizen and lived in New York for a while before trying other states. He joined the United States Reserves for a few years before relocating permanently to West Virginia.
David is survived by his wife of 37 years Dyawantie Camacho; two children, Amanda and Nicholas Camacho. He also left behind one sister, Veronica Costello (Mississippi) and two grandchildren, Bryce and Adrian Heaston. David was a son, a father, a Grandfather, an uncle, a brother in-law and a friend. He was the rock that everyone called on, the calm through the roughest of any storm, the kindest, gentlest soul. He was a kind-hearted loving human being who has finally found peace. He was the life of any party and the go to for advice. He never judged for your past or mistakes. He was selfless and always put himself last. There is no one who could compare to such a loyal, loving, reliable father and grandfather. He had so much to teach and a personality that everyone trusted and listened to. He didn’t have a problem saying he was wrong or had a smile that would melt your heart. His hugs were strong and perfect, and made you feel like you were loved. We hope he knew he was wanted, needed and loved like he deserved. Dad you’re our hero and we love you dearly. Your lessons will forever be remembered and your kindness will live on. We can’t express how much we loved you and how much you will be missed.
The memorial service is on Monday December 27, 2021 at 11:00am. It will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home located at 917 cemetery road. There will be a gathering afterwards at Nicholas and Jennifer’s house. A Lord’s Prayer in honor id this man one he taught my brother and I since we were small. We love you daddy always and forever.
