Derek Miller

Born June 20, 2001 in Martinsburg to the proud parents of James Miller and Heather Miller.

Derek was an energetic, outgoing person who made friends everywhere he went, never knowing a stranger. He always had a smile on his face, while always being in a good mood, and loved to laugh and make the people around him laugh. Derek loved his family and friends and he gave them many special memories that will always bring a smile to them.

He was an avid sports fan, loving basketball and football being his favorite. The Washington Redskins is his favorite all-time team. He also loved to spend time outdoors riding his four wheelers.

Derek will be missed by his loving mother: Heather Miller and fiancé Ramsey Turner; brothers: Austin Miller and Brayden Miller; sister: Cierra Hoskins; grandparents: George Hammond and Roberta Gibson; aunts: Tammy Mobley, Alecia Hammond, Michelle Rhyne, and Candy Miller; also a very special aunt and uncle, Kyle and Kayla Hoffmaster.

He is predeceased by his father: James Miller; step-monster, Andrea Miller; Cousin: Kylee King; and Grandmother: Deborah Hammond.

Friends will be received on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at Rosedale at 12:00 pm.
