He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Eva Stephens, and his brothers, Eugene, Boyd, David, and Earl Stephens.
He enjoyed working outdoors at his home in Martinsburg, traveling in his early retirement years, and spending time with family celebrating holidays and special family celebrations.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gail Stephens; his son, Darrell Wayne Stephens; his daughter, Stacy Irene Kohan, and her husband, Jeffrey William Kohan; his brother, Ray Stephens; his granddaughter, Caitlyn Renae McCoy, and her husband, Marshall McCoy; his granddaughter, Colleen Nichole Ellis; and his great-grandson, Landon McCoy.
The family will receive family and friends for viewing and service on Wednesday, November 11, from 11:00 a.m, till the start of the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice or the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
