

Donald R. Everhart Sr., 96 of Bunker Hill, WV, went to be home with the Lord on October 26, 2025. He was born on April 25, 1929 in Green Spring, WV to the late Leon and Bertie Everhart. He was the middle child of seven and the last surviving.
In 1952 he met the love of his life, Dorothy Weller. At the time of her death, they had been married over 72 years. Still very much in love, they were the epitome of one.
He dedicated 22 years of service to the United States Army, 15 years active duty and 7 in reserves, earning the rank of Master Sargeant. A proud member of both WWII and the Korean War, he later transitioned to civilian life successfully owning and operating several gas and automobile service stations over the years in Virginia and West Virginia.
He was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church, serving for many years as a board member, with the last 30 years at Marlowe Assembly of God in Falling Waters, WV. He was also a member of Gideons International for over 50 years. He was committed to spreading the gospel and doing all he could to lead others to his Lord.
Donald is survived by his children: Donald Everhart Jr. (Patsy), Faith Jones (Bruce), Letitia Parkinson (Frank), and Traci Schoppert; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Francis Everhart, Leon Everhart Jr., Phyllis Cheshier, Sarah Swain, A. Glen Everhart, and Stephen Everhart; and one grandson, Zachary Schoppert.
Family and friends will be received at Marlowe Assembly of God on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery with military honors.
