Donald Wood

Donald Charles Wood, affectionately known as Donnie, passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on January 8, 1959, he was the beloved son of Ann Mabel Koncer- Barefoot and Donald Winston Wood.

Donnie was employed with Dalb, for 40 years. He took great pride in having served his country as a U.S. Marine. He cherished spending time with his family and especially enjoyed target shooting with his brother Ronnie and his nephews.

He is survived by his brother, Ron Wood (Yvonne); his sisters, Diane Wood, Mary Beth Kearns (Bill), and Mariana Yunetz (Dan); nieces and nephews; Robert Ruppenthal, Rebecca Magruder, Jonathan Wood, Ashley Hinzman, Matthew Wood, Nicholas Wood, Kristen Kearns, Rachel Konsavich, Daniel Yunetz, and Samuel Yunetz; great-nieces and nephews; Mariah, Sidney, Autumn and Alicia Magruder, Nyomie Wood, Kaiser Hinzman, Owen and Abigail Ruppenthal and Cyrus Laliberte

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Mabel Koncer- Barefoot and his father, Donald Winston Wood, and his brother, Cecil B. Wood.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00am in Rosedale Cemetery. Following the graveside there will be a reception at Westview Baptist Church.

Donnie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
