Douglas Malatt Sr.

Doug served in the United States Army as well as a faithful servant to his church at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. Doug was employed by Stucky Motors, J.C. Penny Auto, O’Boyle Tank Lines and retired from Berkeley County School Board. He loved to hunt, fish and canoe and was a mechanic by trade.

His late first wife Betty L. Files, mother of their four children, Elizabeth Greenfield and husband Gene, Douglas Malatt Jr.“Doug” and wife Carol, Ralph Malatt Sr. and wife Donna, Terry Malatt Sr. and wife Tammie; numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. His second wife Betty C. Gilbert; step son Michael Shanaberger and wife Arlene; step daughter Susan Steelman; step granddaughter Krissy Steelman and step grandson Benjamin Steelman.

In addition to his parents and first wife he is proceeded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

A visitation will be held at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church on March 31 from 10 AM to the start of Funeral services at 11AM with Pastor John Woullard officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
