Cliff was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a man whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
With a fun-loving spirit and a lifelong passion for rock ‘n’ roll, Cliff began his musical journey at just 11 years old, playing alongside his father in his band. His love for music eventually led him to form his own rock ‘n’ roll band, Bojangles, creating memories and friendships that would last a lifetime.
In 1975, while performing with Bojangles at the Silver Diner in Winchester, Virginia, Cliff met the love of his life, Pam, who had come to see the band play. Despite once declaring that he would never marry again, Pam quickly changed his mind. The two were married on August 20, 1977, beginning a beautiful life together filled with love, laughter, and family.
Following his years in music, Cliff channeled his passion, determination, and strong work ethic into building his own cleaning business, which he proudly operated for more than 30 years. He took tremendous pride in his work, but his greatest accomplishment was always his family. Everything he did was driven by his desire to provide for and take care of those he loved.
Cliff was the proud father of four children: Penny Denise Weagly (Shane), Elmer Clifton Cook III, “Nub” (Norma), SamiJo Rose Prochazka (Jason), and Dustin Scott Cook (Meaghan).
He was also a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren: Marley, Ryan, Amanda, Kevin, Landon, Cheyenne, and Olivia, each of whom held a very special place in his heart.
To know Cliff was to love him. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether through his infectious personality, his sense of humor, or his genuinely kind and loving heart. Those fortunate enough to cross his path often spoke of what a wonderful man he was and how effortlessly he could bring a smile to someone’s face.
Cliff lived his life with passion, worked hard for the people he loved, and never lost the rock ‘n’ roll spirit that made him who he was. His presence was larger than life, and the love and memories he leaves behind will be cherished forever.
The world will be a little quieter without Cliff in it, but the music, laughter, and love he brought into so many lives will never fade.
