Born June 14, 1946 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Bruce M. and Evelyn Johnson Canby.
He was a veteran of the US Army who served in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Post.
He will be missed by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Canby; three daughters: Lisa Beitz (Brian), Chrissy Burke, and Becky Canby; one step-daughter, Debbie Burns (Kevin); three sisters: Sandy Edwards (Jimmy), Joan Aikens (Wayne), and Jeanette Feagans (Kenny); and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: David and Rodney.
Friends will be received today from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Greensburg United Methodist Church Building Fund.
