

He was born on July 8, 1946 in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the son of the late Charles and Beulah Mulligan.
George was a hard headed stubborn man that never knew a stranger.
He was a founding Father and member of the Baker Heights Fire Department and served as the first Chief. He was also a member of the Beddington Fired Department, Hedgesville Fire Department and Halfway Volunteer Fire Department, and of the Marlow Ruritan Club. He was employed by Mack Trucks for 15 years.
George is survived by his loving wife of 21 ½ years Rebecca Mulligan; children: Christian Mulligan, James Mulligan, Scott Mulligan and Brian Mulligan; step children: Penelope, Anthony, and Karen; brother, Charles “Buddy” Mulligan; sister, Bessie Caldwell and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by grandchildren Ryan Christian, Ryan David, and Emma Leann; stepson Scott, and sister Betty Share.
A Visitation will be held for George on Monday October 4, 2021 at Rosedale Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be at Rosedale on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at 11 am with Interment to follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Pastor Cindy Wilson will be officiating the services.
There will be a meal at Hedgesville Fire Hall served after services.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Mulligan, Jamie Mulligan, Brian Mulligan, Willie Poe, Dave King, Dale Williams, Sammy Albaugh, and Kenneth Rager with Honorary Pallbearers Mike Nichols and Kelly French.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Georges name to a charity of your choice.
