Born April 30, 1923 in Levels, WV was the daughter of the late Elmer Nixon and Mamie DeHaven Moreland.
Helen is survived by one grandson, Michael P. McCoy and wife Kay of Hobe Sound, FL; two granddaughters, Michele Parker of Berkeley Springs, WV, and Rebecca Brinkmann and her husband Peter of Hobe Sound, FL; nine great-grandchildren, Leah Parker, Kaylyn McCoy, Michael McCoy II, Luke Brinkmann and his wife Ally, Annie Brinkmann, Daniel Brinkmann, Katie Brinkmann, Lydia Brinkmann, and Samuel Brinkmann; a host of nieces and nephews; and a long time companion, Kenneth “Bo” McKay of Bunker Hill.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband John Pehlevan, Jr.; one son, Paul Douglas McCoy; four brothers and three sisters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Brinkmann, Daniel Brinkmann, Michael McCoy II, Michael R. Miller, Darrell Parker, Michael D. Myers, and Tommy Riggleman.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery with visitation one hour prior with Chaplain John Waidande officiating.
Internment will immediately follow the service at Rosedale Cemetery.
