Howard was born on March 11, 1946, in Hopkinsville, KY, to Howard W. Tyeryar Jr. and Kathleen M. Tyeryar.
In addition to his parents, Howard is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Tyeryar.
He is survived by his son, Howard T. Tyeryar (Rebecca), two grandchildren, Arianna and Alexander. One brother, David Tyeryar of Raleigh, NC, one sister, Sue (Tony) Miller of Frederick, MD, three nieces and one nephew.
After retiring from Alcoa, he spent most of his retirement running dogs. He was a member of many dog clubs in the tri-state, often entering, and winning. He then became a judge in those competitions. He belonged to Hagerstown Beagle Club. When not running dogs, he was playing with his grandchildren.
