Howard Seth Wilson

Born September 28, 1925 in Baxter, WV, he was the son of the late Silas James and Hazel May Wilson.

Howard served our country in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for the US Postal Service Federal Credit Union for many years and enjoyed boating, crabbing, and fishing. Most of all, Howard loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Wilson, two sisters; Helen Rexroad and Rhoda Wilson, and grandson, Gary M. Groomes, Jr.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dorothy Wilson, Children; Martin J. Detorie, Larry M. Detorie, Roxanne Detorie Hoffman, Wayne D. Wilson and wife Tina, and Cindy L. Wilson Sackett, Grandchildren; Martin Detorie, Jr., Melissa Detorie, Gary M. Groomes, Jr., Michael Detorie, Kyle Sackett, Zachariah Hoffman, Timothy Presnell, and Kristin Boswell, Great Grandchildren; Jacob and Daphne, Sister; Dorothy Wilson Sutton, numerous nieces and nephews and all of the employees of the credit union which he considered family.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm at Rosedale Funeral Home on Monday, December 2, 2013 with visitation one hour prior.

Interment will immediately follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on his behalf to the American Cancer Society.
