Jane Lucille Shane

Born on May 4, 1937 in Winchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy L. (Maybury) Mercier.

Jane held a M.Ed. from American International College in Springfield, MA. She was an active member for many years of St. Timothy Church in Mesa, AZ.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Stewart Shane.

Jane is survived by two sons; James F. McMeniman III and Michael P. McMeniman and his wife Kay of Richmond, Va; three daughters, Cheryl Jenkins and her husband Philip of McConnellsburg, PA; Lori (Sampson) Sheppard and her husband Alan of Deland, FL; Kathleen Broucek and her husband Christian of Austria; three step-daughters, Jennifer Lange and her husband Arthur of West Palm Beach, FL; Kathryn Gable and husband Len of Coos Bay and Deborah Shane of OR; two brothers, Charles E. Mercier and his wife Carol and Arthur Mercier both of NH; one sister, Dorothy Ann Hunt of Medford, MA; 15 grandchildren, Sabrina (Fagley) Amanda (LeBlanc), and Joshua Jenkins; Melissa and Matthew Sampson; John and Paul McMeniman; James, Carina, Daniel, Klara, Elizabeth, Emily Broucek; Kreston and his wife, Bridie and Kacy Neal; several nieces and nephews and several cousins including Nancy Pulson of VT; and Judy Carter of MA; and one very special Aunt, Phyllis Johnson of Keene, NH.

A funeral mass will be held at The Church of the Nativity in Merrimac, MA on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

Following a reception the burial will take place at North Yard Cemetary in Milford, NH at 2:30 pm.
