Janette Marie Mackey

Medical Center.

Born on May 4, 1949 in Sutton, West Virginia and was the daughter of Jack Lee Mills and the late Dessie I. Miles.

Janet was a nurse and worked at City Hospital, Heartland of Martinsburg, and Canterbury Center where she retired in 2012. She loved people and treated them with compassion and kindness.

Janet had a witty sense of humor and a great spiritual awareness of the world, and her hobbies were people and bird watching, traveling, food, shopping, dancing and humming.

In addition to her father she is survived by her daughters: Jima Sherrard (Steve) and Janetta M. Henry; significant other Rudy Combs; grandkids: Clinton Henry, Cody Henry and Ryan Sherrard; and brother, Terry Miles.

Along with her mother she is preceded in death by her husband Phillip Mackey, granddaughter Katelyn M. Sherrard and brothers Gene Miles, and Gale Mills.

Friends and family will be received on Friday August5, 2022 from 6 – 8 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 11 am at Rosedale Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
